We offer a full auto electrical service from a bulb not working or a broken wire to computer diagnostic testing of car ECU’S
We are relied upon by many of Newcastle’s main dealers, independent garages / car sales and insurance approved body shops whether it be on a motorbike, a combine harvester or a car but we do specialise in cars and it makes up around 95% of our work.
We can repair central locking, electric windows, starter motors, alternators, fans, engine sensors gearbox electronics, wiper motors, lighting faults and electronic control units.
We have invested heavily in all the latest diagnostic equipment and have many main dealer tools so can communicate with any make or model of car. We also use the latest Picoscope diagnostic oscilloscope for electronic testing of suspected faulty components, there is no guess work here.
We will take on complex wiring faults that other garages have lost interest in.
If your car has had an emissions update we can roll the software back to an out of the factory version.
We can trace broken or corroded wires back to the cause of the problem and rectify them, make up new wiring looms and install them.
Multiplex or can bus wiring is a data transfer system in your car where all the computers talk to one another and if you get a fault in this system it can cause lots of strange behaviour and be difficult to diagnose without the right equipment; we are very experienced with all different systems of a modern vehicle
We can also supply and fit parking sensors, dash cameras and reversing cameras aswell as diagnose and repair faulty ones. Read more on our parking sensors page and to view our before and after images
ENGINE MANAGEMENT LIGHT
If an engine management light illuminates on your dashboard it means your car’s engine computer has detected a fault with a component and needs to be plugged into a diagnostic machine, as soon as possible, to determine the cause of the fault or further damage may occur.
ABS / TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT
If an ABS or traction control light illuminates on your dashboard it means your cars braking system has detected a fault and needs to be plugged into a diagnostic machine, as soon as possible, to determine the cause of the fault or your brakes may not perform as they should.
AIRBAG / SRS LIGHT
If an airbag light illuminates on your dashboard it means your cars airbag control unit has detected a fault in the system and needs to be plugged into a diagnostic machine, as soon as possible, to identify the cause of the fault or your airbags may fail to deploy in the event of a crash.
A battery light illuminates on your dashboard it means your battery is not charging and if you continue the car will eventually cut out and will not restart; the most common cause is a faulty alternator or drive belt.
